How about I get us as much as they can cram onto one of the platters, then?
[So he orders... well. A lot. It's not going to be nearly enough to feed them, but it's enough that the waiter's eyes go big, apparently extremely excited that White Wolf loves the food here.
Once he's left, Bucky laughs quietly.]
Now I know how you felt after you first changed 'n all. Everyone's so star-struck. It's ridiculous.
[That's nearly whispered, even if it's not needed.]
I'll warn you, the hut doesn't have heating. It can get a little cold at night.
[Eventually their banter, flirting-- whatever you call it, has to stop, because the dish of food they're given is absolutely enormous. It looks kind of like a pizza, with everything carefully piled in its own individual section on spongy bread, and four rolls of what look like fancily wrapped napkins, but what Bucky is quick to show is more of the bread.]
You eat it with this.
[He tears off a decent chunk off of one of the rolls of bread, and picks up a large amount of one of the piles of food with it, eating the entire thing in one bite.]
You'd never have seen anything like this back in Brooklyn.
[Steve watched before following along with what Bucky had done. Only he
looked around at all the different sections before carefully using his
fingers to pick a little of this and that to pile on his bread.]
I hope this is acceptable. I really don't want to offend anyone.
[After a moment though he pushed the food into his mouth, taking a smaller
bite, but still getting a mouthful.]
This is delicious.
[It was said around the mouthful and he blushed a bit.]
[This is so nice. It's been a long time since he's felt this happy; it's probably because Steve is here, sharing something with him that Bucky really likes.]
I'd like that.
[He slips his hand so he can squeeze at Steve's knee.]
Exactly. The only thing that would delay it would be missions, but we can
work around those, right?
[He covered Bucky's hand with his own, squeezing before his focus was back
on the food.
Everything was honestly so good. Steve couldn't find anything he didn't
like on the platter and he just knew that they would have to come back to
finish trying everything some other time.
He felt so relaxed and happy once they'd eaten everything, his smile easy
as they talked to the waiter before he looked at Bucky, catching his eye.]
Pretty sure we couldn't eat anymore if we tried. Think its about time for
us to get out of here.
[He smiles at the kiss. He can't exactly lean back, or return it, but he turns to look at Steve, his expression relaxed.]
I'm never gonna let you go now.
[The drive back to the farmstead is, fortunately, completely uneventful. Bucky parks in an unpaved area that has a couple cars, and what looks like farm equipment parked on it.]
We're here! Well, almost.
[He holds out a hand, just an offer, to help Steve down. He knows Steve doesn't need it, that's not the point.]
C'mon. I want to see how you look wrapped up in a Wakandan wool blanket.
[The brightly colored Wakandan blankets have definitely been a highly about living in the country.
The walk isn't too long, just ten minutes or so before he motions Steve inside, and lights the wireless electric lamp in his hut. The mix of technology and tradition is fascinating in a way Bucky will probably never get entirely use to.]
[He stretches out, making his metal left shoulder whir noticeably.]
C'mon, you can pick which one you like the best.
[Several of the brightly colored blankets are already in the corner of the hut that's clearly devoted to sleeping. The mat is raised off the ground only slightly, just enough for a visual indication of where the bed is. There are a few others held up neatly, probably for extra insulation on cold nights.]
no subject
[Its obvious that if left to his own devices, he would overwhelm himself. So he was glad he had told Bucky to take the reins on this one.]
Man...you weren't kidding.
[He said it with a squeeze to his knees, smiling.]
I haven't eaten since this morning and it was a power bar. I'm pretty hungry.
no subject
[So he orders... well. A lot. It's not going to be nearly enough to feed them, but it's enough that the waiter's eyes go big, apparently extremely excited that White Wolf loves the food here.
Once he's left, Bucky laughs quietly.]
Now I know how you felt after you first changed 'n all. Everyone's so star-struck. It's ridiculous.
no subject
See at least you get it.
[He laughed as well, scooting a little closer and squeezing his thigh gently.]
So, if we eat all of that and end up ordering more...is he gonna make that face again?
[The smile that lit his face was contagious honestly. He was happy to be there with Bucky.]
You know...I really missed you.
no subject
Yeah, probably. I don't think they're quite used to how much I eat. They probably won't know what to think with two of us here.
[At Steve's words, he can't help himself, squeezing his hand.]
I've missed you, too. I like it when you're here, Stevie.
no subject
I like being here. I'm trying to...I want to be here more often. I don't want to leave you anymore.
[He bit his lip for a moment, smiling before leaning over and pecking his lips.]
Maybe...we could work on that together.
no subject
I'd like that.
Want me to show you the inside of my hut after all?
no subject
I mean, if there's a chance I'm gonna be staying there a lot in the near future? Yeah, definitely.
[He smiled, leaning his forehead against Bucky's.]
Though, just remember, once you invite me in I might never leave.
no subject
[That's nearly whispered, even if it's not needed.]
I'll warn you, the hut doesn't have heating. It can get a little cold at night.

[Bucky can't help but laugh, though.]
Glad you like it. There's so much we can try here. I bet we couldn't eat all of it tonight even if we tried. Believe me, I've tried before.
no subject
That just means we'll have to come back again.
[Steve stuffed another bite into his mouth, shrugging.]
We could make this a thing. Date night once a week maybe. Not just here. There are plenty of places to try.
[He winked, taking a drink before bumping his knee against Bucky's.]
no subject
I'd like that.
[He slips his hand so he can squeeze at Steve's knee.]
An entire night, just to ourselves.
no subject
Exactly. The only thing that would delay it would be missions, but we can work around those, right?
[He covered Bucky's hand with his own, squeezing before his focus was back on the food.
Everything was honestly so good. Steve couldn't find anything he didn't like on the platter and he just knew that they would have to come back to finish trying everything some other time.

no subject
[Bucky stretches out, a little exaggerated, but he hasn't felt this happy, this content, in... well. Pretty much forever.]
Yeah, come on.
[They've already eaten way more between the two of them than anyone has probably ever eaten in one sitting in the restaurant as it is.]
It might get a little chilly at night, but I've got a lot of wool blankets.
no subject
Good.
[He leaned over once more, pressing a kiss to his lips before shrugging.]
Can't be that chilly. I did spend 70 years in a block of ice.
[A hand clapped Bucky's thigh, giving it a meaningful squeeze before chuckling.]
And I can think of other ways we can stay warm.
no subject
Nah, it'll be downright cozy compared to that. But night in the desert, y'know.
[He throws his right arm over Steve's shoulder, grinning.]
C'mon, let's head back.
no subject
Eh we'll handle it.
[He stood up, pulling Bucky in close before heading out of the restaurant.]
Best date ever.
[His smile is wide and bright as he walked over to the motorcycle, raising an eyebrow.]
So now you gonna romance me? All proper like you used to?
no subject
Yeah. I'm gonna sweep you off your feet. I'll warn you though, we've gotta park my bike a ways from the farm. It'll scare the animals otherwise.
All the romancing is gonna have to wait until we get back to the hut.
[But he winks, because he sure as hell isn't trying to talk his way out of this.]
no subject
I'm okay with that. I know how to be patient.
[He moved over to the bike, waiting for Bucky to get on before climbing on behind him and wrapping an arm around him tightly.]
Just glad we're getting this chance again.
[There was a kiss pressed to Bucky's neck.]
no subject
[He smiles at the kiss. He can't exactly lean back, or return it, but he turns to look at Steve, his expression relaxed.]
I'm never gonna let you go now.

[He holds out a hand, just an offer, to help Steve down. He knows Steve doesn't need it, that's not the point.]
no subject
[Once they were parked he took Bucky's hand, slipping off the bike and entwining their fingers for the walk.]
Hey I'm okay with this. Just means getting to spend more time with you, right?
[A wink and he smiled before leaning over and kissing him.]
no subject
[He returns the kiss, eager.]
The mix of technology and tradition is fascinating in a way Bucky will probably never get entirely use to.]
no subject
[He walked into the hut, smiling as he looked around at everything. It was actually incredibly quaint and he truly seemed to like it.]
I like this. Its...homey. Now, show me the blankets. I keep hearing about these things and now I'm curious.
[A laugh escaped him as he stretched a bit before immediately pulling off his shirt.]
no subject
[He stretches out, making his metal left shoulder whir noticeably.]
C'mon, you can pick which one you like the best.
[Several of the brightly colored blankets are already in the corner of the hut that's clearly devoted to sleeping. The mat is raised off the ground only slightly, just enough for a visual indication of where the bed is. There are a few others held up neatly, probably for extra insulation on cold nights.]
no subject
[Once again he looked around at the different blankets, finding one he liked and grabbing it before moving over and wrapping them both up in it.]
Now, how about you show me how much you've missed me, hmm?
[It was teasing as he leaned their foreheads together, staring into his eyes.]
